Three American F-15 fighters crashed over Kuwait as a result of ‘friendly fire.’
This was reported by the US Central Command (CENTCOM).
“Three American F-15E Strike Eagle fighter-bombers involved in Operation Epic Fury crashed over Kuwait as a result of what appears to be a friendly fire incident,” the statement said.
The statement noted that “during active combat operations, including attacks by Iranian aircraft, ballistic missiles, and drones, US Air Force aircraft were mistakenly shot down by Kuwaiti air defense systems.”
All six crew members ejected and were successfully evacuated.
CENTCOM noted that Kuwait acknowledged the incident.

“We are grateful to the Kuwaiti Armed Forces for their actions and support during the ongoing operation,” the statement said.
