A massive overnight Ukrainian drone attack targeted an FSB base in the Russian-occupied Kherson region, blowing up nodes of the facility one by one. Kyiv says that it also hit a surface-to-air missile system in the attack, adding that nearly 100 Russians had been killed. This comes after a Ukrainian strike against a Russian drone training and production facility in the occupied Donetsk region on Wednesday, which reportedly killed 65 people.
German Chancellor Friedrich Merz has proposed a novel “associate member” status for Ukraine in the European Union. The move would allow Ukraine to participate in EU summits and ministerial meetings, but with no right to vote in them.
