Magura Naval Drone Becomes Carrier for Interceptor Drones

The Ukrainian Magura series naval drone has received a new, previously unknown modification as a carrier for interceptor drones.

A video of the tests by UFORCE was published by The Economist correspondent Oliver Carroll on his X page.

The footage shows a container opening on the naval drone, from which an unknown interceptor flies out.

It detects and hits an air target, played by a wing-type drone.

This solution will likely help shoot down Russian reconnaissance aircraft and kamikaze drones launched from Crimea directly in the Black Sea.

As a reminder, in September 2025, the modernized Ukrainian Magura v7.2 took part in the REPMUS military exercises organized by NATO countries.

The updated aircraft has undergone changes to its body: the missile launchers have been moved from the stern to the middle of the deck, and the exhaust manifold outlets have been moved from the sides. In addition, the camera has been raised higher on the mast, where an onboard navigation radar has also appeared.
