Tuareg militants have launched FPV drone strikes against the Malian army and the “Russian African Corps” paramilitary unit in the African country. Video footage featuring precision strikes by the Tuareg militants have been shared in social media. Yet another social media footage shows a massive concentration of militants on motorcycles near the country’s capital Bamako. Meanwhile, Russian forces stationed in Mali have confirmed that they have pulled out of Mali’s northern city of Kidal after a weekend of coordinated attacks by militant groups. Mali’s separatist groups and militants carried out one of the most extensive and synchronized assaults Mali has experienced in years over the weekend, striking several urban centers simultaneously. Intense clashes, marked by continuous gunfire and repeated explosions, erupted around key government facilities and major army bases, indicating a meticulously planned and coordinated operation. The wave of violence has reached the capital, Bamako, along with at least three other cities. In Bamako, the area surrounding the main airport echoed with prolonged exchanges of fire and blasts, prompting authorities to halt all air traffic. Comparable attacks unfolded in Sevare, Kidal, and the northern hub of Gao, underscoring the nationwide scale of the offensive.
