A large-scale fire has broken out at the Nurlino Linear Production and Dispatching Station (LPDS) in the Republic of Bashkortostan, which is part of the Transneft network.

The facility, located near Ufa, serves as a strategic hub in the country’s main pipeline system.
The exact cause of the fire is not yet known. According to Russian monitoring sources, no air hazard has been declared in the region since Tuesday.
Residents of Ufa reported seeing thick black smoke from 25–30 km away from the industrial area.
The total capacity of the station is 500,000 m³ as of the completion of the main expansion phases. The site has approximately 25–27 tanks, most of which are vertical steel structures with RVSP-20000-type pontoons, each with a capacity of 20,000 m³.
According to 2024 documents, the number of facilities is planned to increase to 27 units.
It is worth noting that the Nurlino LPDS is one of the key hubs in Russia’s main pipeline system. The station pumps oil from the fields of Western Siberia and the Urals to Russia’s central and southern regions.
Through the extended pipeline network, this crude oil can also reach export infrastructure on the Black Sea, including terminals in Novorossiysk, Tuapse, and Taman.
Ukrainian drones have never targeted the facility. However, despite being a significant distance from Ukraine, about 1,300–1,500 km, Ukrainian drones have already demonstrated the ability to reach new ranges of up to 1,800 km.
For example, on April 25, 2026, Ukrainian strike drones attacked Yekaterinburg and Chelyabinsk in the central Ural region for the first time.
The drones covered approximately 1,700–1,800 km to reach these cities, remaining undetected by Russian air defense systems.
