The village of Kondratovka in Sumy region became the epicenter of the defeat of Russian troops. The occupiers’ units were surrounded, attempts to break through the ring failed. This was reported by two Russian Z-channels of the Russian Federation, associated with the Russian Armed Forces. One of these pro-war resources was "Za VDV". It claims that Russian troops have almost completely lost control over the settlement, with the exception of only a few houses on the eastern outskirts. The Ukrainian Defense Forces blocked the enemy’s attempts to retreat. This was confirmed by the Z-resource "Northern Channel". According to its data, Russian military personnel hold only a few surviving houses in the village. " In Sumy Oblast, we continue to monitor Kondratovka. In conditions of a shortage of people and supplies, our boys are fighting back as best they can and holding the last 15-20 households in the village, where we still haven’t let the Ukrainian Armed Forces in. There is still a chance that we will be able to get the guys out of this hell alive ," Z-channel reported. According to their report, the occupiers’ situation is critical. They have no supplies or the ability to retreat, and the Ukrainian military continues to clear the village.
Due to the oblast’s proximity to the Russian border, Sumy Oblast and the city regularly come under Russian drone, missile, and artillery strikes that have become increasingly destructive in recent months.
