Pakistan Deploys Fighter Jets to Saudi Arabia Under Mutual Defense Pact

Amid Iranian drone and missile attacks, a Pakistani military contingent arrived at King Abdulaziz Air Base in eastern Saudi Arabia.

This was reported by the Saudi Ministry of Defense.

The Pakistani contingent includes fighter jets and support aircraft from the Air Force to bolster the kingdom’s defense capabilities.

Earlier, on April 9, according to OSINT analyst Egypt’s Intel Observer, three C-130H military transport aircraft from the Pakistan Air Force flew to the same airbase.

As previously reported, in September 2025, Saudi Arabia and Pakistan signed a mutual defense pact, which strengthens their partnership amid regional tensions.

This expansion of cooperation is taking place due to Arab states’ growing caution regarding the reliability of the US as a traditional guarantor of their security.

Arab countries are also considering the possibility of forming a military alliance similar to NATO.
