Poland, Norway, Germany announce major military aid package for Ukraine | Morning Report

Ukraine’s European allies remain committed to helping Kyiv through a potentially difficult winter, with Poland, Norway, and Germany announcing a major military aid package for Ukraine. The news came as talks between the U.S. delegation and Vladimir Putin came to an inconclusive end, while U.S. State Secretary Marco Rubio made the unusual decision not to attend a high-level NATO meeting.

Despite numerous challenges, the Ukraine peace negotiations appear to be moving forward, with talks between Washington and Kyiv scheduled to take place later on Thursday. The White House has now confirmed that its Ukraine envoy Steve Witkoff and President Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner will meet Kyiv’s national security council chief Rustem Umerov in Miami the wake of the recent inconclusive talks in Moscow.

U.S. President Donald Trump has made his first remarks following the recent talks between the U.S. and Russian delegations in Moscow. While he referred to the latest round of negotiations as “reasonably good,” he also admitted that the path toward peace in Ukraine remains “unclear.”
