Poland’s defense ambitions are reshaping its alliances. “This chapter on security and defense is the one based on which Poland builds a number of relationships today in the world,” Wojciech Przybylski, Editor-in-Chief of Visegrad Insight, said in an interview with TVP World.
Przybylski draws attention to the significance of Hungarian Prime Minister Péter Magyar’s first official foreign visit since taking office. Magyar begins in Krakow before heading to Warsaw and Gdańsk, a symbolic route through Poland’s most important cities.
Our guest points out that the visit carries weight beyond diplomacy. If Hungary is serious about rebuilding the Visegrad Four group, the defense sector is where that commitment will be tested. “The influence of this group has been tested many times in the past,” Przybylski said.
