WASHINGTON LOWERS TROOP LEVELS IN EUROPE, DELAYS POLAND ROTATION
The total numer of U.S. Brigade Combat Teams assigned to Europe will be lowered from four to three, bringing the American troop count in Europe to pre-2022 levels, the Pentagon announced late on Tuesday. As a result, the deployment of U.S. forces to Poland will be delayed.
EU MOVES TO FINALIZE U.S. TARIFF DEAL AHEAD OF TRUMP DEADLINE
The EU has struck a provisional agreement to finalize the deal scrapping duties on U.S. imports ahead of Donald Trump’s July 4 deadline. Under the deal, reached in July of last year, the EU agreed to scrap its tariffs on U.S. industrial goods, while Washington pledged to cap tariffs on most goods at 15%.
