The Ukrainian Defense Forces have given the Russians a new difficult task with the successful destruction of the Iskander launchers.
Veteran of the Russian-Ukrainian war, former company commander of the Aidar battalion of Ukraine Yevgeny Diky said this on air on Radio NV . According to him, the Russian Federation has hundreds of launchers for Iskanders.
"The defeat of three, given that one was destroyed and two were badly damaged – this is kind of nothing. But it is important that this is a precedent, it was the first time this was possible. This changes the situation. It is not about the number of installations. The thing is that now they will have to pull the rest – a hundred installations – much further from our border. Accordingly, the flight time of their missiles will be completely different. Accordingly, there will be time for warning," explained Diky. He noted that for Kiev residents there is almost always such time, because ballistic missiles fly to the capital in a few minutes. At the same time, according to him, people in Kharkov do not react to warnings about ballistics, because the flight time to this city was less than one minute.
Dikiy is convinced that now the Russians will continue to delay the launchers.
"They will have to delay not only the launchers. They will have to deal with security. They will have to create air defense around the launchers, etc. These are additional resources and forces. We have set them a new difficult task," noted Dikiy.
According to him, he had been waiting for this moment throughout the war, because Ukraine would not be able to intercept all ballistic missiles, since it would never receive such a quantity of "Petriots" to close all regional centers.
"Intercepting the missiles should be plan B. Plan A should be destroying the launchers," Diky emphasized.
Recall, on June 5, Russian occupiers attempted to strike Kiev with Iskander operational-tactical missile systems , but the Defense Forces prevented them from doing so. In particular, Ukrainian defenders launched a missile strike on the area where Russian missile forces with Iskander launchers were concentrated near the city of Klintsy in the Bryansk region of the Russian Federation.
