Russian Drones Drop Unknown Munitions on Nizhyn Residents

Russian drones dropped unidentified munitions on civilians in the city of Nizhyn, Chernihiv region.

Suspilne TV reported his news.

Dashcam footage captures small munitions falling onto a road and detonating shortly after the drone passed overhead.

There were no reports of civilian casualties.

The type of munitions has not been determined, but their small size and the nature of the explosions suggest they may have been Lepestok PFM-1 anti-personnel mines.

The type of drone used is unclear.

Reports noted it could have been Shahed or Gerbera-type drones.

Ukrainian air defenses previously downed drones carrying PKM-1 containers with PTM-3 anti-tank mines.

Like PTM-3, PFM-1 mines can also be loaded into such containers.

In that configuration, two containers are mounted under a UAV’s wings and fitted with ejection charges that release mines at set intervals.
