Two people were killed and more than a dozen injured in a Russian strike overnight on the Black Sea port city of Odesa, Ukraine, regional authorities said. According to Associated Press the State Emergency Service of Ukraine reported that residential buildings and civilian infrastructure were hit. According to the report, several residential buildings were destroyed.
More than 140 emergency workers were involved in operations across the city to deal with the consequences of the strike. Oleh Kiper, head of the Odesa Regional State Administration, said that a Russian drone also struck a merchant ship sailing under the flag of Saint Kitts and Nevis that was heading to the port of Odesa. A fire broke out on board, but no injuries were reported, Kiper said.
