On the night of February 12, strike drones targeted the Russian Michurinsky Plant Progress in the Tambov region.
Following the strike, smoke was seen rising from the plant’s premises, and a fire subsequently broke out.
Tambov Region Governor Yevgeny Pervyshov confirmed that the facility had been attacked.
Before the explosions, Russians attempted to shoot down the drones – gunfire from small arms was heard.
The enterprise manufactures control-system equipment for aviation and missile technology. In particular, it produces:
- gyroscopic instruments for stabilization and control;
- heading indicators and autopilots that ensure navigation and automatic flight control;
- angular rate sensors and other components of flight and navigation systems.
Following a series of explosions, a fire broke out on the premises of the Progress plant. According to monitoring channels, this is already the second attack on the facility.

On the night of February 10–11, strike drones attacked the Lukoil oil refinery in the city of Volgograd.
