One could ask about the symmetry of the strikes : if the Russians are attacking Kyiv, then why can’t we attack Moscow? But that would require serious preparation. Yuriy Fedorenko, commander of the 429th separate Achilles unmanned systems brigade, spoke about this on Radio NV.

Therefore, we will leave aside the measures being taken against the Russian Federation and its capital, Moscow. But I am convinced that if Russia doesn’t understand the criticality of the situation and doesn’t retreat, these measures will be implemented," Fedorenko emphasized. He noted that Ukraine should have systemic influence at the strategic level. "This means that Ukrainian drones, as well as the missiles we have, must continuously strike facilities that extract, produce, and refine petroleum products. This is the Russian Federation’s main source of funding for waging war against Ukraine," Fedorenko emphasized.
According to him, our diplomats also need to work hard to attract funding for the production of drones and the systematic delivery of firepower.
"Plus, we must constantly ‘pump’ the United States of America into believing that Tomahawk missiles are not a tool that enables us to achieve the desired results in destroying a specific enemy target, but rather a tool for protecting Ukrainian infants, the elderly, women, and the Ukrainian people as a whole," Fedorenko emphasized.
He noted that this is a defensive tool when Tomahawks begin to strike facilities that produce components, units, assemblies, and assemble finished missiles, drones, guns, and ammunition.
"When all this starts to burn, the enemy loses the ability to terrorize the Ukrainian people deep within our territory and reduces the onslaught on the front lines," emphasized the commander of the 429th separate Achilles unmanned aerial vehicle brigade.
He noted that the next component is the operational level, where we must do everything possible to have a large number of drones. He also emphasized that it’s absolutely clear that for a Ukrainian drone or missile to reach, "for example, Moscow—we won’t name the destination, let’s get around this political hurdle—well, for example, the facilities that produce oil products or manufacture those Shahed missiles—all obstacles must be overcome, and we need to work on that."
As reported, drone attacks on Moscow and the surrounding region are aimed at undermining the Russian capital’s air defense system.
Military observer Denis Popovich noted that it is necessary to suppress and penetrate this very dense Russian defense.
He added that there are 75 Pantsir-S1 missile systems deployed around Moscow, which are constantly on the move. Russia also has mobile fire teams, S-300 and S-400 systems, and electronic warfare assets there.
