Terra Drone Corporation, which invested in Ukrainian drones, has won its first tender from the Japanese Ministry of Defense to supply drones worth hundreds of thousands of dollars.
The Japanese corporation said it will supply 300 domestically produced modular drones.
The total value of the order is 115.4 million yen (approximately $800,000).
The company received the order shortly after entering the defense market.
The project involves supplying 300 units to the Acquisition, Technology & Logistics Agency (ATLA), a state agency under the Japanese Ministry of Defense.
The company said the order recognizes its capabilities in developing, supplying and deploying unmanned systems, amid broader market and political trends.
All drones are to be delivered to the Japanese Ministry of Defense by September 30, 2026.
Japan’s draft budget for fiscal year 2026 includes about 277.3 billion yen (approximately $1.9 billion) to strengthen defense capabilities related to unmanned systems.
As part of its broader entry into the defense sector, Terra Drone is implementing a multi-pronged strategy that includes interceptor drones, operational support UAVs, and the development of a global supply chain.
Terra Drone is scaling up production of Ukrainian interceptor drones Terra A1 and Terra A2 and plans to invest in jet drones as well.

In Ukraine, these drones are manufactured by Amazing Drones, which has already signed an agreement to attract Japanese investment.
The Japanese corporation expects to bring Ukrainian drones to the international market and secure initial contracts, which would allow further scaling of production. Terra Drone is already participating in Japanese tenders.
