A drone exploded in the city of Luga, the Leningrad region, on the territory of the 26th Missile Brigade (military unit 54006).
The incident occurred on Sunday, December 7, at about five o’clock in the morning, ASTRA reports.
The information was also confirmed by the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations. At the moment, there is no information about injuries or damage.
The 26th Missile Brigade is one of the key units that operates the Iskander tactical missile system. This particular unit has already been the target of attacks in previous months.
In particular, on June 5, 2025, the Armed Forces of Ukraine launched a missile attack on the positions of the Iskander missile system in the Bryansk region.
At least one launcher was destroyed, eight soldiers of the 26th Brigade were killed and five others were wounded.
The location of the damage was geolocated by the author of the OSINTtechnical blog. According to him, the site of attack was 40 kilometers from the Russian-Ukrainian border near the village of Martianivka.
