Ukraine’s Special Operations Forces have struck strategic Russian military facilities in occupied parts of the country. Ukrainian troops hit the radio location system of Russian S-400 surface-to-air missile system in Sevastopol in the Russian-annexed Crimea Peninsula. Video footage of the operation captures moments of precision strikes at multiple Russian targets, followed by powerful explosions. The 64N6E radar station and its antenna that served as the “eyes” for Russian S-300 and S-400 surface-to-air missile systems were destroyed. In addition, units of the Special Operations Forces’ middle-strike group carried out strikes on the Russian arsenal in the occupied Donbas region, a storage site for reconnaissance drones, and a logistics supply depot of Russian troops in Marianivka in southeastern Zaporizhzhia region. As a result, in Shyroka Balka settlement in eastern Donetsk region, a depot containing rocket and artillery weapons was destroyed, with ammunition continuing to detonate. It’s worth noting that Ukrainian troops have scaled up missile and drone strikes at Russian military facilities in occupied parts of Ukraine and deep in Russia. These attacks are aimed to degrade Russia’s ability to sustain operations near the front lines and to disrupt supply routes that support Russian forces in occupied territories. The S-400 Triumph surface-to-air missile system is a major component of Russia’s multi-layered air defene system. Designed to detect and destroy a wide variety of aerial threats, including fighter jets, strategic bombers, drones, cruise missiles, and some types of ballistic missiles, the system is widely considered one of the most advanced air defense platforms currently in service.
