Ukraine’s Security Service, known as SBU, has carried out a successful operation in Russian-annexed Crimea Peninsula, striking Russian ships, a radar system, and army logistics. Among the hit targets are the Russian Navy large landing ship “Yamal”; Russian Navy large landing ship “Azov”; a military vessel of an unidentified type. There are also reports of a likely strike on a Project 21980 “Grachonok” anti-sabotage boat. In addition, SBU “Alpha” unit drones damaged the antenna block of the “Delfin” communications system, the MR-10M1 “Mys-M1” radar, and fuel storage tanks at the “Yugtorsan” oil depot. Ukrainian forces have stepped up attacks targeting Russian naval assets and military infrastructure, with a particular focus on occupied Crimea, which serves as a key logistical and operational hub for Moscow’s war effort. Over recent months, Ukraine has relied heavily on long-range precision strikes, naval drones, and sabotage operations to degrade Russia’s ability to operate freely in the Black Sea and to disrupt supply lines supporting frontline troops. In Crimea, Ukrainian strikes have repeatedly targeted ports, shipyards, air defense systems, and fuel depots. Beyond naval targets, Ukraine has intensified strikes against radar systems, air defense complexes, and communication nodes across Crimea. By damaging surveillance and detection systems, Ukrainian forces aim to weaken Russia’s ability to intercept incoming drones and missiles, creating openings for further attacks. Fuel depots and logistics hubs have also been frequent targets, as disrupting supply chains complicates Russian military operations not only in Crimea but also along the southern front lines in mainland Ukraine.
