Ukraine Develops Algiz AM Electronic Warfare System to Counter Mavic-Type Drones

A new electronic warfare system, Algiz AM, has been developed in Ukraine, capable of effectively jamming Mavic-type drones.

The Brave1 cluster reported that the system features remote control, allowing operators to work from cover.

In modern warfare, Mavic-type drones have become one of the most common tools on the battlefield.

The drones come equipped with high-quality cameras that enable real-time reconnaissance of the terrain. The Mavic 3T also features a thermal imaging sensor, allowing it to conduct effective surveillance in all weather conditions and even at night.

The system has already proven its effectiveness on the front lines and is being used by Ukraine’s Defense Forces units.

A key feature of the Algiz AM is its ability to change the direction of signal emission across a full 360°.

The Algiz AM is a mobile platform designed for rapid deployment and high maneuverability in field conditions.

The Brave1 cluster supported the development team in completing the codification process, which accelerated the system’s adoption by Defense Forces units.

The cluster also helped establish effective cooperation between the manufacturer and the military, allowing the system to be refined according to the real needs of the front line.

Previously, this Ukrainian company had already introduced the ALGIZ-1T, ALGIZ-1X, and ALGIZ-1XM EW systems for countering FPV drones.

The devices create jamming signals in the most common frequency ranges of modern FPV drone control channels. The antenna polarization allows for equally effective interference with radio channels of both horizontal and vertical polarization.

Recently, five more countries joined the international electronic warfare coalition supporting the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
