Ukraine’s Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha on Friday re-emphasized that Kyiv will not agree to Russian ultimatums regarding the withdrawal of Ukrainian troops from the Donbas. “Ukraine will never accept any formula, any initiative, at the cost of our territorial integrity and sovereignty,” Sybiha said at the 5th Antalya Diplomacy Forum. According to Associated Press Sybiha also talked up recent events on the battlefield. "During last month we manage to liberate, to de-occupy more territories than Russians occupied," he said. "We hold the lines strategically." The foreign minister also spoke about peace efforts, noting that a U.S. negotiation team is expected to visit Ukraine. On the result of Hungary’s election, Sybiha said it was like an "Easter gift" for Ukraine, adding that a change in the ruling party could help accelerate Ukraine’s path towards European integration. The earthquake election delivered a powerful two-thirds majority in Hungary’s Parliament to the center-right Tisza party led by Péter Magyar. Ousted PM Viktor Orbán’s defeat has immediate global implications because he was the European leader closest to Russian President Vladimir Putin and had blocked European Union aid to Ukraine, which is defending itself after Russian’s 2022 invasion.
