Ukraine Introduces ZORKO Detector That Allows FPV Drone Video Interception

The Ukrainian company Stinex has developed a portable ZORKO detector for identifying FPV drone video signals.

Militarnyi learned of the device from company representatives during the Brave1 Components exhibition.

The device is designed to quickly detect sources of radio-frequency emissions from video transmitters and intercept video streams in real time.

It improves situational awareness on the ground, enables rapid response to UAV threats, and provides additional protection for troop positions, personnel, infrastructure, weapons, and military equipment.

The detector continuously scans airwaves in frequency ranges commonly used by FPV video transmitters.

According to the manufacturer, ZORKO combines long detection range, high sensitivity, and mobility. It supports scanning of video channels in the 1.2 / 3.3 / 5.8 GHz bands.

Autonomous operation for 6-8 hours allows for extended patrols.

Its compact size, without antennas, and low weight make the detector easy to use, while IP54 protection enhances resistance to dust and splashes in field conditions.

An adjustable audio alarm and two screens of different sizes simplify monitoring and decision-making in difficult environments.
“Simple. Reliable. Invisible. Compact size, mounts on a backpack, belt, or car,” the company shared.

The system works because FPV drones use video transmission modules. The detector captures the signal from such a module and processes it.

Ukraine has also developed the ARes acoustic target designation system, which can detect drones and missiles under difficult conditions.
