Ukraine has received at least 1,729 M113 APCs and vehicles based on them from partner countries.
Updated estimates were published by military observer Jeff2146 on X, challenging the previously widespread estimate of more than 4,100 vehicles.
According to him, the figures cover confirmed deliveries and announced aid packages.
The M113 has thus become one of the most numerous types of Western armored vehicles in Ukraine’s Defense Forces.
The total includes vehicles in various versions: armored personnel carriers, command-and-staff, medical and specialized variants.

Among the suppliers were:
- Australia transferred 56 M113AS4
- Lithuania — 78 M113 and 2 M113 FDC
- Canada transferred a batch of 25 M113 and spare parts
- Denmark transferred 54 M113G4DK
- Netherlands — 348 YPR-765, 25 YPR-765 PRGWT, 5 YPR-806
- Germany transferred 11 additional M113 to Ukraine in its next aid package
- Italy plans to transfer 400 M113
- Portugal — 46 M113, 3 M113 Ambulance and 2 M577 Ambulance
- Spain — 60 M113
- United Kingdom — 46 M113A1BE
- United States — 900 M113
- Belgium / Luxembourg — participated in the joint transfer of 40 M113 together with the Netherlands.
The main advantages of the M113 are ease of operation, a large stock of spare parts, and the ability to be repaired quickly.
The vehicle is used to transport infantry, evacuate the wounded, carry ammunition, and as a base for other weapons.
Despite the considerable age of the design, the M113 remains an effective platform due to upgrades and mass production.

The transfer of more than 1,700 vehicles confirms that the M113 has become one of the key armored personnel carriers of the war for the Ukrainian army.
