PEACE PLAN AGREEMENT
According to two Ukrainian sources close to the peace negotiations, Ukraine has sent the United States its latest plan to end the war with Russia. The news comes after the Financial Times reported on Tuesday that the U.S. President’s envoys had given President Volodymyr Zelenskyy a just a few days to respond to the American-proposed peace agreement.
MILLIONS FOR UKRAINE
The U.S. House of Representatives approved a new $900B defense spending bill which includes military aid to Ukraine. According to the bill, Kyiv will receive $400M per year from the Ukraine Security Assistance Initiative, or USAI, in 2026 and 2027.
TRUMP’S CONVERSATION WITH EUROPEAN LEADERS
U.S. President Donald Trump said he spoke in “strong words” about the war in Ukraine during a call with European leaders. Trump added that he was also urged to attend a meeting in Europe this weekend, but suggested the U.S. may not take part, saying, quote, “We don’t want to be wasting time.”
