Alpha” unit of Ukraine’s Security Service, known as SBU, has ranked first among Ukraine’s Defense Forces units for number of targets hit in March. According to verified data from the relevant unit of the Special Operations Center, the SBU special forces eliminated more than 10,200 Russian infantry personnel in just one month. They also recorded 7,346 additional targets, of which 5,122 were destroyed and 2,224 damaged. Video released in social media features the unit’s strikes on multiple Russian military targets These include: 2,218 unmanned aerial vechilces; 1,279 surveillance and communication systems; 1,606 fortifications and engineering structures; 810 light vehicles; 422 motorcycles; 187 trucks; 90 artillery systems and self-propelled guns; 59 armored vehicles; 10 multiple launch rocket systems. In a statement published on Telegram app the Ukrainian military stated that the SBU Special Operations Center ‘Alpha’ consistently demonstrates high effectiveness on the battlefield and remains among the most successful units of Ukraine’s Defense Forces.Ukrainian forces have ramped up a campaign of strikes against Russian military targets, focusing on weakening logistics, air defense systems, and command infrastructure deep behind the front lines. Using a combination of long-range drones, missile systems, and special operations units, Ukraine has targeted ammunition depots, fuel storage facilities, and key transport hubs that support Russian troop movements and supply chains. Russia has not publicized the number of lost troops since the start of full-fledged invasion of Ukraine. However, according to Ukrainian military sources and Western intelligence reports, Russia’s military losses in Ukraine exceeds 1,2 million.
