The defense forces of Ukraine managed to hit, practically "under the nose" of the occupiers, an object that is one of the three most protected in Russia. This opinion was expressed on air by former employee of the Security Service of Ukraine, military expert Ivan Stupak, commenting on the attack on the Crimean Bridge.
"On par with the Kremlin, the residences of dictator Putin. There is a large number of air defense systems there. When the alarm sounds, they start to shroud it in fog so that the missiles do not hit. Combat divers, sensors, detectors, microphones. But they were able to, they outsmarted. And we can say that there were no people there. Everything was done remotely," Stupak said.
He noted that Russian sensors had not detected Ukraine moving explosives, which he said could be due to previous strikes by the Defense Forces.
"On May 19, 2025, there were reports that SBU specialists attacked Boyko’s towers. Then they seriously damaged the radar equipment that was there. But everyone took it as hooliganism, burned the radar and that’s it. But in fact, this was the first stage of the operation to organize an attack on the Crimean Bridge. The Russians were deprived of their eyesight and hearing. So that they could not see Ukrainian drones and boats approaching the coast," Stupak added.
At the same time, he called for a sober look at the results of the operation. Since the Crimean Bridge was not destroyed as a result of it, Stupak noted:
"There is information that it has resumed work. Yes, in a limited mode, perhaps trains are not running, but cars are running. That is why the Crimean Bridge is standing. But it has significantly damaged the nerves of the Russian authorities."
As reported, on June 3 it became known that the SBU blew up the Crimean Bridge underwater. It is noted that SBU agents mined the supports of the overpass, which was illegally built by the Russian Federation. As a result, the explosion took place without casualties among the civilian population.
The Kremlin subsequently confirmed the attack . At the same time, they classically assured that nothing had been damaged as a result of the attack. They also accused Ukraine of "attempting to attack peaceful infrastructure facilities."
