Ukrainian Defense Forces Down Iranian Shahed-107 with Interceptor Drone

Soldiers from the Sky Wars unit of the 47th Magura Mechanized Brigade shot down an Iranian Shahed-107 attack drone using a STING interceptor drone.

Wild Hornets, the company that manufactures the STING interceptor drone, released the shootdown video.

According to the company, within six hours, the Sky Wars unit destroyed 22 enemy targets, including the Iranian-made Shahed-107.

The Shahed-107 was first publicly presented by Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps in June 2025 during the escalation of the Iran–Israel conflict.

According to the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine, the Shahed-107 is a high-wing unmanned aerial vehicle with a wingspan of about three meters. It features an X-shaped tail assembly that provides flight stabilization.

The drone’s fuselage is made of carbon fiber, while its structural load-bearing elements are aluminum, making it both lightweight and durable. In the sample examined by intelligence specialists, a 15-kg cumulative high-explosive fragmentation warhead was identified.

It is equipped with a Chinese DLE-111 two-stroke gasoline engine. Similar small-displacement engines have previously been identified on Russian UAVs such as the Gerbera, BM-35, Parodiya, and Delta. The fuel tank has a capacity of 28 liters, providing the Shahed-107 with an operational range of approximately 300 km.
