Drone operators of the 1st Separate Center of the Ukrainian unmanned aerial systems unit, together with fighters of the “Phoenix” unit, detected and struck a Russian “Tor-M1” air defense missile system in the occupied part of Donetsk Oblast. As a result of the kamikaze drone strike, the system, valued at approximately $25 million, was destroyed by an explosion. In addition, the unit’s drones struck a Russian logistics center in the occupied city of Perevalsk in Luhansk Oblast, causing explosions and fire. Ukrainian drones also targeted electronic warfare systems located in the area. The “Tor-M1” system destroyed in Donetsk region is the ninth such system eliminated in the first nine days of April. In recent days, Ukrainian unmanned aerial units have intensified strikes on Russian positions in occupied territories, including military equipment, drone bases, and logistics centers. Among the destroyed air defense systems, “Tor-M1”, “Tor-M2”, and “Buk” systems make up the majority.
