Ukrainian drones attacked the Pskov region of Russia and infrastructure in the city of Velikiye Luki. Regional Governor Mikhail Vedernikov reported this on MAX. According to him, one of the oil storage tanks at the Velikiye Luki oil depot is on fire due to a drone attack. Emergency services are working at the scene. Local residents were asked not to approach windows or to take shelter in a nearby building if the attack caught them outside. According to the ASTRA Telegram channel, employees of nearby facilities have been evacuated. At the oil depot, protective netting was erected over the tanks, the channel clarified. However, judging by eyewitness accounts, several drones penetrated the netting, causing a major fire, ASTRA reported. According to data, the oil depot stored petroleum products – diesel fuel, gasoline, and other types of raw materials – for subsequent distribution to the network of gas stations, enterprises, and transport companies. Another massive drone attack has occurred in the Bryansk region. The region’s governor, Alexander Bogomaz, reported this on Telegram. According to him, air defense units of the Russian Ministry of Defense, special forces of the Russian National Guard in the Bryansk region, and mobile fire teams of the BARS-Bryansk brigade destroyed 81 fixed-wing UAVs. Two civilians were injured in a massive attack in the village of Lopush in the Vygonichsky District of the region. The men were taken to the hospital and received the necessary medical care. Five private homes and two cars were damaged, Bogomaz added. According to a Rosaviatsia representative, no planes were arriving or departing at Pskov Airport. In addition, local authorities warned of possible slowdowns in mobile internet service in the region. Last night, air defense alert systems shot down 113 fixed-wing drones over Russian regions, the Defense Ministry’s press service reported. The largest number of drones destroyed was in the Bryansk region—50. Another 35 were intercepted over the Smolensk region, 12 over the Tver region, and ten over the Novgorod region. Four drones were shot down in the Leningrad region, and two in the Kaluga region.
