A soldier from the 155th Separate Mechanized Brigade, call sign Alex, managed to outwit and seize assault rifles from two Russian occupiers in the village of Grishino in the Pokrovsk direction.
Alex Anchovy’s comrade was wounded after enemy fire, so the soldier dragged him into cover for medical assistance. At that moment, two Russian soldier approached the dugout.
It is noted that when Alex heard the question in Russian: "Ours?", he did not lose his composure and answered affirmatively, so that the Russian occupiers could enter. "I went to the dark side and called them over, so they wouldn’t recognize me by my uniform. They crouched down, put down their automatic weapons, and started chatting… And then there was a moment of silence… Because they heard Ukrainian on the radio and realized where they were. The main thing is that now we have prisoners, and we can get our guys back from captivity," the Ukrainian defender said.
It is added that a soldier from the 155th separate mechanized brigade took machine guns, telephones, radios and documents from the enemy.
Moreover, a Ukrainian soldier spent nearly three days leading the occupiers to an evacuation point due to a constant threat from the sky. Alex successfully completed training at the Skala training center and can clearly distinguish the sound of enemy drones, or "bees." Therefore, he promptly ordered the Russian prisoners to hide in ditches or thickets. A Ukrainian defense attorney warned the prisoners that if they tried to escape, kamikaze drones would leave no chance.
Media previously reported that a Belarusian citizen voluntarily surrendered to the 47th Magura Separate Mechanized Brigade in Sumy Oblast. A Ukrainian soldier with the call sign "Lyut" had to carry him 10 kilometers through mined fields. Belarusian Yuriy Malyshchitsky said he signed a contract with the Russian Army. Initially assigned to combat engineers, he was later transferred to UAV operator duties. Malyshchitsky said he realized things were dire and decided to surrender to the Ukrainian Armed Forces. He stepped on a mine in the forest and began calling for help. Two Ukrainian soldiers heard him, and he told them he wanted to surrender. In a shelter, the Belarusian’s wound was bandaged and a tourniquet was applied.
Media also reported that a 19-year-old Russian serving in the 102nd Motorized Rifle Regiment of the 150th Division transmitted the coordinates of his units to Ukrainian troops. He independently established contact with the Ukrainian side through the "I Want to Live" project. For approximately 80 days, the Russian transmitted the coordinates of the positions, equipment, and routes of the 102nd Regiment’s units. During this time, thanks to his data, which arrived with a delay of only 15 minutes, at least two tanks were destroyed, an MLRS was hit, four UAV crews, and four mortar crews were destroyed.
