They are already having fuel shortages. Not in the active army yet, in the rear, but they are already there. Russian-Israeli military journalist Sergei Auslender writes about this in his blog .
The main thing is: there is no place to store it. The oil industry has always been export-oriented, even since the Soviet era, and export to the West. Then one brilliant strategist decided to resolve the issue with the rebellious neighbor in three days and the export was covered with who knows what. But this beloved "let’s sell everything to China" turned out to be logistically a little more complicated than they imagined. Remember the disaster in the Black Sea, when everything was polluted with fuel oil? Well, this was precisely due to the lack of storage capacity. There is a certain turning point, namely the percentage of processing capacities, after the removal of which a tangible and noticeable crisis will begin. The gasoline crisis that is gripping Russia has caused a wave of discontent even among Russians loyal to the government. Russian deputy from the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, millionaire blogger Nikolai Bondarenko, went into hysterics about what is happening in his blog.
" How can a country that is a gas station run out of gas? It is clear to everyone that there are no medicines, no planes, that we do not make computers, phones, processors and chips. But at least we need to provide gasoline to our own population! Prices are skyrocketing because supply is shrinking, and demand is inevitably growing… The government is washing its hands of it… What is so difficult about increasing production, investing money in the real sector, investing in the oil industry? Well, for this we need to spend money, taxes, our savings, and the government has other plans for them. It all starts with Primorye, but there is no doubt that this can spread to other regions in the very near future. And after the deficit, there will be a rise in prices, and after the rise in prices, a decline in the standard of living of citizens and an exacerbation of sad trends: an increase in mortality and a fall in the birth rate. Who will give birth to children and start families in conditions of such uncertainty? " Bondarenko said. It should be noted that the fuel crisis in Russia is a consequence of aggression against Ukraine. Kyiv has aggravated the aggressor’s problems by massively attacking Russian refineries. Since the beginning of August, the Syzran, Novokuibyshevsky, Saratovsky and Volgograd refineries have been out of order. Rosneft’s Ryazan refinery, which supplies fuel to Moscow and the region, has stopped half its capacity. The Slavyansky, Afipsky and Novoshakhtinsky refineries have also been attacked, which has paralyzed about 13% of all oil refining in the country. Against the backdrop of these events, the fuel deficit has already reached the Kuril Islands, which are part of the Sakhalin Region.
