An Israeli Airforce pilot has filmed himself while flying over the Iranian capital Tehran. The viral video circulating on social media shows the pilot calmly recording himself from the cockpit while addressing Israelis. The video indicates that the Israeli aircraft passed through airspace where the Islamic Republic’s air defense systems were expected to operate without encountering any resistance. The pilot said he is among the Israeli Air Force, currently flying over Tehran, on their way to attack what he described as historic targets. “We are in the midst of a campaign aimed at maintaining an existential threat to our country. We will reach every place, every enemy for our country, for the security of our communities,” the pilot said in Hebrew. Furthermore, he pledged to fight “as long as necessary, around the clock.” He wished citizens of Israel a safe and peaceful Sabbath. “We will meet at home,” he went on saying. The video might suggest that Iran’s air defense systems, including the S-300 and the domestically produced Bavar-373 complexes could have been disabled or undermined by Israel’s electronic warfare capabilities. The release of such videos are believed to be part of the psychological warfare being waged against Tehran. Ai strikes around Tehran as the fighting between Iran and the Israeli and the US forces enters its second week. Israeli air forces launched a new wave of large-scale airstrikes on military infrastructure in and around the Iranian capital, with reports that more than 80 fighter jets targeted missile storage sites, command facilities, and an Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps training university. Large explosions and thick smoke were reported across several districts of the city as bombardments intensified overnight.
