– Would Ukraine give up land to Russia? That was the underlying question of the meeting of allied leaders with Volodymyr Zelenskyy in London on Monday as the Ukrainian President is counting on Europe’s support in minimizing the fallout of accepting a peace deal that would leave Ukraine in a disadvantaged position. All that against a backdrop of Ukraine and the U.S. not seeing eye to eye on possible concessions involving the Donbas.
– As the leaders of the U.K., Germany, and France met with President Zelenskyy in London amid renewed efforts to settle the Russia–Ukraine war, Ukrainians back home have their own opinions about how the end of the war should play out.
– “Poland is released from any relocation mechanism, free also from any costs related to it. In this respect we seem to have achieved everything we wanted,” said Poland’s interior minister, Marcin Kierwiński, in Brussels as EU member states have consented to Poland being exempt from compulsory immigrant relocations.
