Wreckage of Unknown Israeli Drone With Turbojet Engine Found in Iran

Wreckage of an unidentified Israeli drone was found in Lorestan province of Iran, near the settlement of Veysian.

A preliminary description was published by the Open Source Munitions Portal.

According to the published data, the munition has a gray or silver body with specific red markings. Both fragments and an intact munition that didn’t detonate were found at the site.

The design indicates the use of complex hydraulic and electronic components, with the body assembled using screws and rivets.

A key feature of the recovered sample is the presence of a turbojet engine.

The find was classified as a high-explosive fragmentation munition. The guidance system suggests it can be used as a precision-guided weapon, potentially launched from both ground platforms and unmanned aerial vehicles.

The drone’s tail section includes a stabilization system with fixed wide surfaces and movable hinged elements.
