Amid the attacks on Moscow and Russia’s failures in the war, Z-type propagandists are already openly discussing Putin’s replacement and overthrow . The Telegram channel "Sixth Day | ROMAN ROMANOV," with over 30,000 subscribers, wrote that Putin "never came out to the people" after Ukraine’s largest attack on Moscow and is afraid to stand by Russians during a war he himself started. Z-type blogger Ilya Remeslo makes similar demands. Propagandist ROMANOV writes that Putin is no longer capable of fulfilling his duties and doesn’t know how to end the war with Ukraine, and therefore must be replaced. The candidate named as his successor is apparatchik Sergei Kiriyenko.

He doesn’t know how to win it, how to end it, how to get out of it, and is simply biding his time in the hopes that everything will resolve itself? The author suggests Sergei Kiriyenko as a possible replacement. This is a telling shift within the pro-war militia. Previously, Z-channels demanded the Kremlin take a tough stance against Ukraine. Now, some of them are talking about Putin’s own weakness and discussing who could take his place. For the Kremlin, this is more dangerous than ordinary criticism, since calls for overthrow are coming from the pro-war camp.
Z-blogger Pavel Ivanov said that failed war against Ukraine has severely undermined the power of Kremlin leader Vladimir Putin. Z-patriots have already written him off and are actively discussing his successor. Ivanov noted that the figure of First Deputy Prime Minister Sergei Kiriyenko has been actively promoted in Russia. He suspects that this figure is being groomed to replace Putin. "Kiriyenko is taking pictures with a machine gun, ‘preventing’ the internet from being completely blocked, ‘saving’ us… All that’s left is to ride a bear and fly with cranes. It’s as if the promotion is taking off," said the Z-blogger. Kolpakidi, for his part, suggested that Putin is weak and has long been removed from decision-making. "We have absolutely no idea how our government works. I’m inclined to think that the president doesn’t play as big a role as we all thought. Let me remind you that some time ago there was this strange scene where Zyuganov, Kiriyenko, and Putin were sitting together. And Zyuganov says we’re against the cancellation of local council elections… Putin says that can’t happen… He looks at Kiriyenko, and everyone understands he simply didn’t know about it," the propagandist declared.
