Ukraine’s Volodymyr Zelenskyy called on Wednesday for stronger reaction from Europe following the incursion of Russian drones into Polish airspace. According to Associated Press multiple Russian drones crossed into Poland in what European officials described Wednesday as a deliberate provocation, causing NATO to send fighter jets to shoot them down. Zelenskyy called on leaders to engage in further action against Russia, stressing that there is “a lot of international work to do". “The Russians are testing the limits of what is possible. They are testing the reaction. They are recording how the armed forces of NATO countries operate, what they can and cannot do yet,” he added. The incursion, which occurred during a wave of strikes by the Kremlin on Ukraine, and the NATO response swiftly raised fears that the war could spill over — a fear that has been growing in Europe as Russia steps up its attacks and peace efforts go nowhere.
