FREDERICKSBURG, Va. (DC News Now) — Police in Fredericksburg are investigating a shooting that happened overnight.
Details remain limited; however, just after midnight, the Fredericksburg Police Department (FPD) posted on social media that officers were on the scene of a shooting in the 1100 block of Central Park Boulevard.
Police noted that one person was injured and they are in stable condition.
FPD said the suspects are believed to have left the area in a black car with tinted windows.
“Please do not approach the vehicle as the subjects are believed to be armed and dangerous,” wrote Fredericksburg police on social media.
As of early Tuesday morning, investigators were working to get more information about what led up to the shooting. Anyone with information is asked to call 540-373-3122. Anonymous tips can be sent to 847-411 with the message starting with “FPDtip.”
