WOODSON TERRACE, Mo. – Homicide detectives are investigating a deadly overnight shooting in Woodson Terrace.
According to a spokesperson for the Woodson Terrace Police Department, officers responded to a reported shooting at a residence in the 9700 block of Lilly Jean Drive around 3 a.m. Officers detained three people outside the home upon their arrival.
Police found a person suffering from a gunshot wound inside the residence. EMS arrived and pronounced the shooting victim dead at the scene.
The victim’s identity has not been released, pending notification of family members.
Meanwhile, police confirmed they have a suspect in custody, adding that there is no ongoing threat to the public.
