PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Four people were injured and transported to hospitals after there was a shooting at an event center in Southeast Portland, authorities said.
According to the Portland Police Bureau, a suspect has been detained by officers several blocks away and no other suspects are being sought.
This comes after a large police presence was seen near the corner of Southeast 148th Avenue and Southeast Stark Street late Friday night.
KOIN 6 News crews were there and we received multiple accounts from eyewitnesses who said they heard gunshots and saw people had been shot.
The situation is ongoing and police said detectives are en route to the shooting scene, where there are already teams of officers in the area.
