(WJW) – State troopers are responding to a multiple-vehicle crash that shut down State Route 2 in Erie County on Tuesday afternoon.
According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, a seven-vehicle crash happened on the Thomas A. Edison Memorial Bridge over the Sandusky Bay.
Investigators said the crash happened on the eastbound side of the bridge.
According to the Ohio Department of Transportation, State Route 2 is closed in both directions for 2.2 miles beyond State Route 269/Danbury Road because of the crash.
Drivers are urged to take another route while crews work to clean up the scene.
