(FOX40.COM) — Two people are dead after a single-vehicle crash took place in West Sacramento on Sunday morning.

According to the West Sacramento Police Department, officers responded to a serious traffic crash at 15th Street and Jefferson Boulevard, closing the roadway as medical personnel arrived at the scene.
Despite the efforts of first responders and medical personnel, WSPD stated that two people have died due to their injuries.
“Our hearts go out to the families and loved ones affected by this devastating loss. Please keep them in your thoughts during this difficult time,” WSPD said.
WSPD Traffic Unit is at the scene for the next few hours to thoroughly investigate and determine what caused the crash.
