BALTIMORE, Md. (DC News Now) — Police said they were investigating reports that a number of people were “experiencing overdose symptoms” Thursday.
The Balitmore Police Department (BPD) posted about the incident on the X platform at 11:31 a.m. The post said that officers, as well as members of the Baltimore City Fire Department, were at the intersection of Pennsylvania and North avenues.
A follow-up post stated that several streets were blocked as a result of the situation and investigation. Police asked people to avoid the area.
BPD said it would provide updates as it received more information.
Several media outlets, including the The Baltimore Sun, reported that as many as 25 people were being treated for suspected overdoses.
