CHARLOTTE (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — If you’re heading into Uptown Charlotte on Thursday, July 3, for SkyShow 2025 — remember to plan ahead!
The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department is warning of heavy traffic and several road closures around Truist Field and Romare Bearden Park, where this year’s SkyShow festivities will take place. The event kicks off with a baseball game at 6:05 p.m., followed by a fireworks show.
Road closures
- South Mint Street between Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and Fourth Street will be closed starting at 6 p.m. and will reopen the following morning
- West Fourth Street between Graham and Mint Streets will shut down at 9 p.m. and remain closed through the fireworks display
CMPD is encouraging drivers to seek alternate routes.
