Heat advisory: Another day above 90, then storms

(WJW) – A HEAT ADVISORY is in effect until 8PM Tuesday.

The combination of hot temperatures and high humidity levels will put heat indices above 100 degrees during the hottest time of day (2 p.m. to 6 p.m.) one more day.

The upper-level ridge responsible for the heat dome will start to flatten out and sink south of the area. This will allow a weak front to move into the Northeast Ohio and trigger scattered downpours and storms. Spotty coverage Tuesday with higher coverage Wednesday.

Coverage on rain/storms will be higher Wednesday PM and even higher Thursday along the front.

Heat shifts west late this week/weekend and especially next week. Highs look to be in the 70s/lower 80s as we approach 4th of July weekend!
