How to get free tickets for Macy’s Fourth of July fireworks in NYC

NEW YORK CITY (PIX11) – The city will hand out 100,000 free tickets to premier viewing spots for the Macy’s 4th of July Fireworks Show.

The tickets will become available Tuesday morning at 8:30 a.m. for Brooklyn Bridge Park, Pier 16 and Pier 17. They’ll be given out on a first-come, first-served basis. You can only request up to four tickets for Brooklyn Bridge Park or two tickets for The Seaport.

Some 2,500 tickets to the Brooklyn Bridge Park viewing spot will be given out early – text FIREWORKS to 917-909-2288 to claim an early ticket.

For the rest of the free tickets, visit this website on Tuesday to claim a spot.

Last year, the city gave out 10,000 free tickets to view the show on Piers 84 and 45, which sold out in under an hour.

You can still view the fireworks without a ticket from any spot with an unobstructed view of the lower East River. Public entry points will be set up along FDR Drive at these locations:

  • Montgomery Street and Madison Street
  • Robert F. Wagner Sr. Place and Brooklyn Bridge On/Off Ramp
  • Broad Street and Water Street
