(FOX40.COM) — Human remains have been found at the site of the fireworks facility that exploded on Tuesday, Yolo County announced Friday.
The county said no positive identifications have been made and that recovery efforts would continue through the weekend.
Once identified, the identities of those recovered will not be released until next of kin is notified.
The facility near Country Road 23 and Country Road 86A in Esparto caught fire around 6 p.m. on Tuesday. Fire officials said seven people were unaccounted for following the explosion. Two others were reported injured.
The fire created a number of spot fires in the area, collectively referred to by Cal Fire as the Oakdale Fire, and burned roughly 78 acres.
