CONEY ISLAND, Brooklyn (PIX11) — Reigning champion Joey Chestnut won the Nathan’s Famous Fourth of July men’s hot dog eating competition in Coney Island on Friday.
Chestnut, 41, ate 70.5 hot dogs in 10 minutes to beat out last year’s champion Patrick Bertoletti.
Last year’s champion Patrick Bertoletti came in second place this time with 46 hot dogs eaten.
Chestnut returned to the hot dog eating contest after a contract with Impossible Foods forced him out of the Nathan’s competition last year.
