Joy Bus Diner: A Heartwarming Nonprofit in Phoenix

In celebration of Nexstar Media’s Founder’s Day of Caring, the Arizona Daily Mix team rolled up their sleeves and headed to The Joy Bus Diner in Phoenix — not just for a great breakfast, but to shine a spotlight on one of the Valley’s most heartwarming nonprofits.

The Joy Bus Diner, founded by Chef Jennifer Caraway, was born out of love for her dear friend Joy, who battled cancer. What started as a simple gesture — delivering homemade meals to those going through treatment — has grown into a full-service diner and volunteer-driven meal program bringing comfort food and companionship to homebound cancer patients across the Valley.

Chef Jennifer shared her mission and passion with the Arizona Daily Mix crew, who spent the day helping out and encouraging the community to give back. Whether it’s volunteering in the kitchen, delivering meals, or simply stopping by for brunch that supports a cause, every act of service matters.

By highlighting The Joy Bus Diner on Founder’s Day, Arizona Daily Mix hopes to inspire others to get involved and make a difference in their communities — one plate, one delivery, and one joyful moment at a time.
