Kansas City Chiefs players report for training camp in St. Joseph

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A busy offseason for the Kansas City Chiefs is turning into an exciting stretch for Chiefs Kingdom.

Training camp practice starts Tuesday, and the Chiefs will be playing in front of fans for the first time since the Super Bowl.

The work done in St. Joseph over the next three weeks will eventually lead back to Arrowhead Stadium.

The Chiefs’ home opener isn’t until week two against the Philadelphia Eagles for a Super Bowl rematch.

There will be a lot of change on the team between now and then.

Ninety players are on the training camp roster. The Chiefs, like all NFL teams, must finalize their 53-man roster on Tuesday, August 27th.

In each of the last five seasons, the Chiefs have announced record contract extensions. That trend continued this week and gives Patrick Mahomes the highest-paid guard and center protecting him up front.

But the Chiefs still have a question mark at what many consider to be the most important position on the Offensive line: left tackle.

Open training camp practices start on Tuesday at 9:15 a.m. If you want to attend the training camp, you need a ticket, even for the free practices. Click here to see the practice schedule and get a ticket to practice.
