ST. FRANCOIS COUNTY, Mo. – A man was left dead and another was taken into custody Sunday morning after a fatal shooting in Farmington.
According to the Farmington Police Department, the shooting took place a little after 11:30 p.m. on the 600 block of Hill Top Place Drive.
When authorities arrived on the scene, they found a man lying on the ground suffering from a gunshot wound. Officers attempted life-saving measures but the man was later pronounced dead at the scene.
Following the shooting, authorities took a man into custody and located the gun at the scene. According to police, witnesses on the scene told them the shooting took place in the breezeways at one of the apartment buildings.
